DJI Mavic Mini – For Parts / Repair

This is a DJI Mavic Mini drone. Powers on and connects to the DJI Fly app, and the app detects the aircraft. A new firmware update is available, but the update currently fails and shows several error messages in the app itself grade a like brand new

What it has / what works:

• DJI Mavic Mini aircraft

• Powers on normally

• Connects to remote/app

• App detects it and shows flight checklist

• Battery holds charge (based on current use)

Issues shown in DJI Fly app:

• Firmware update failed (error shown: Firmware update failed. Restart device and try again)

• IMU calibration required / IMU initializing (Code: 30050 / 30066)

• Gimbal unable to connect – app says repairs required (Code: 40012 / 40021)

• GPS signal weak (was tested indoors)

Because of these messages, the drone shows “Unable to Take Off” in the app. It will need IMU calibration and likely gimbal repair and/or a proper firmware refresh (possibly via DJI Assistant 2) to be fully flight-ready.

Best for:

• Someone who knows how to repair DJI drones

• Using it for spare parts (body, motors, shell, battery)

• Hobbyist/technician
